Being A Newborn Photographer…
It’s So Much More Than Just Photography…
It’s ALL about the safety, wellbeing and comfort of your new wee baby…
VERY careful positioning of their arms and legs when they’re being wrapped up, (they look so cute when it’s done properly – with safety and comfort foremost) And VERY careful consideration of their limbs and developing muscle groups when being posed.
And that only comes with years of experience, continuous training & learning.
Having children of your own is NOT a qualification for safely handling and posing newborn babies…
No one should be practising or learning newborn photography with your baby!

Debbie is fully trained in, and has more than 30 years experience of, every aspect of caring for and safely handling babies!
She is truly the baby whisperer, our clients christened her this many years ago, and I am in complete awe of what she does at every single shoot…
Debbie can tell just by holding a new baby, by being aware of their muscle groups, body shape & posture (and they are all different) what will make them comfy and much more importantly what won’t!

We consider your babies’ safety, comfort & well-being to be the most important part of our job, we will never, ever, put them in a pose or prop that will put them at any risk whatsoever.

Teamwork…
Debbie and I always work together, as a team, Debbie does all of the important stuff, (just don’t tell her I said that 🤣) handling, settling and posing your baby.
According to Debs my entire contribution is to point the camera and press the button!
Seriously though, working as a team means that your baby is never left alone, one of us is always available to support them, instead of having to pose them and then standing back to take the shot…
Leaving your wee one unattended, even for just a second, isn’t an option 🙈

Our Custom Built, Baby Only, Studio…
Our studio has been custom built, to our own specifications, just for a Newborn photoshoot or a Baby photoshoot. Its nice’n’warm, cosy & comfy…
Having had several high street studios over the years when we photographed weddings, families, pets and older children as well as babies we decided around 10 years ago to concentrate solely on babies (they’ve always been our favourites ☺️)
So, we put in place plans to have a studio designed and built with only babies in mind, to provide the best possible environment for babies safety, wellbeing and comfort.
6 years ago we had it built behind our home, a completely separate building, purpose designed for only a Newborn photoshoot or a Baby photoshoot.
It’s safe, comfortable & warm for your baby, and a beautiful relaxing experience for you.
It allows us to create a warm, cosy, relaxing atmosphere where you can sit back, relax and enjoy watching us work our magic with your new wee person to create some amazing, artistic photos that you’ll treasure forever.

We can photograph your baby in any style you like, just have a look through our galleries, to see the variety of styles.
You can have just completely natural pictures or you can have unrestricted use of our large range of props gathered from all over the world, including wraps, hats, hair bands and many other props.
We can also use all of the very latest digital techniques to produce some amazing artistic images for you as well.
We’ll have a chat about what you like best beforehand and it might just be you want a variety of styles, and that’s fine too.
So what we’re offering you isn’t just some digital files or prints of your baby…

You Don’t Need To Book Months In Advance If You Don’t Want To…
To provide the very highest level of service to you, and to allow us to be creative and produce the best possible newborn photography, we strictly limit the amount of shoots we do each week…
This also allows us to keep at least one stand by appointment available every week for parents who don’t want to book months in advance…
We’re not a stack them high sell them cheap, conveyor belt type studio…
Your baby deserves the very best, and that’s what we provide!

Our Session Fee For Your Newborn Photoshoot or Baby Photoshoot…
Our session fee is usually £125 HOWEVER at the moment the session fee is ONLY £95!
The session fee covers your photo shoot, our time and expertise in creating these unique images, editing and digitally enhancing them to the very highest standards, and preparing them for you to view back at the studio around 7 – 10 days later.
There are no prints or digital files included in the photoshoot session fee.
Our individual prints start at only £59 and our digital collections start at only £299.
